Head Louse awareness month
It’s head louse awareness month, a perfect time to put our heads together so these little blood suckers can have a party! But seriously, these pests can work wonders for ruining the start of the school year as they spread from child to child and deliver itch-inducing bites.
Being pests that cannot survive long off their host, lice are not pests that Guardian is able to treat – that’s a job for over-the-counter lice treatments and, failing that, prescription treatments offered by your doctor. However, we can still provide some information, like this manual on preventing and treating bed bugs that I mooched from Gwen Pearson’s Facebook page (for more of Gwen’s entomological science education, find her on Facebook at Bug Gwen) or these resources from the CDC.
